Mounties Roll to Sixth Straight Win
LA GRANDE, Ore. - It wasn't that long ago that Head Coach Kaki McLean had the dreaded "interim" tag before her name. Now, under McLean's tutelage, the Eastern Oregon University Volleyball team is soaring to new heights.
EOU's convincing 3-0 victory over Warner Pacific brings the Mounties record to 11-6, 8-3 in the Cascade Conference. The 11 wins already surpasses last years total of 10.
McLean defiantly has her team hitting on all cylinders. Tonight, in front of a raucous Mountie crowd, it was the high flying duo of Grace Deboodt and Chelsea Lally that led the Mountie charge. Deboodt finished the night with 16 kills, while Lally tallied 11.
Eastern had four players wind up with double digit digs, led by senior Kiley Cobb's 22.
Lally added 12 while Sareena Simpson and Alissa Clinton chipping in with 11 each. Clinton also led EOU with 23 assists.
The Mountaineers will face Cascade College tomorrow night in Quinn Coliseum. The first game is set to start at 7:00pm.
