CALDWELL, Idaho - Paced by 16 team blocks, The College of Idaho volleyball team won their 13th match in a row, winning tonights NAIA Battle of Idaho over Lewis-Clark State, 30-25, 30-23, 30-25 in the J.A. Albertson Activities Center. The No. 8 ranked Lady Yotes (15-6) extended their homecourt win streak to 32 with the victory over their rivals from Lewiston.

Game 1 saw the Warriors (13-5) cut The C of I lead to 25-24 on a Coyote attack error, but the Yotes rattled off five of the final six points, with Katie Hogue's service ace ending the game. Game 2 saw the Yotes hold a 15-14 edge, but a five-point push, keyed by a pair of tandem blocks, gave The C of I the momentum to earn the win.

Game 3 was a see-saw affair, as the Coyotes jumped out to a 11-1 edge, only to see L-C score 11 of the next 12 points to draw even. Tied 23-23 late, an Anne Parker kill and a pair of Kathryn Ely spikes capped a four point push that closed out the match.

Ely led the way with ten kills, with Parker adding eight kills and four blocks. Kristin Henning had seven kills and eight blocks, with Katie Hogue adding seven kills and seven blocks, and Katie Zillner spiking nine balls. Defensively, Catherine Everist led the Yotes with 21 digs and Stacie Drumm added 17.

L-C got 15 kills from Dana Christiansen and 12 kills and 11 digs from Anile Clemente. Lindsay Scott led all players with 22 digs.

The Lady Yotes will put their 30-match Cascade Conference win streak on the line this weekend at Oregon Tech and No. 20 ranked Southern Oregon.
