PORTLAND, Ore. – Pairings for the six-team 2007 Cascade Collegiate Conference women’s soccer tournament were finalized on Wednesday night, with regular season champion Concordia and runner-up Corban capturing the top two seeds and first-round byes.

The tournament gets underway Saturday, with No. 3 seed Oregon Tech hosting No. 6 seed Warner Pacific, and No. 4 seed College of Idaho hosting No. 5 seed Cascade. Game times will be announced Thursday. Warner Pacific and Evergreen finished with identical point totals, but the Knights earned the nod into the tournament based on their 1-0 regular-season victory over the Geoducks.

Semifinal action is set for Wednesday, Oct. 24. Top-seeded Concordia, which went unbeaten (10-0) in regular season CCC action, will host the lowest remaining seed after Saturday’s quarterfinal action, while second-seeded Corban will host the highest remaining seed. The tournament championship game, matching the semifinal winners, is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 27 at the site of the higher-seeded team.
