KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. -- Two goals in the first 13 minutes held up as the Oregon Tech women’s soccer team won its first ever home playoff game 3-1, in a Cascade Conference Tournament Quarterfinal game at Trevor Derrah Field.

The Lady Owls 11-7-1 will now travel to Corban College (10-8) in the second round of the CCC playoffs on Wednesday, October 24th at 7:00 pm at Sparks Field on the Campus of Willamette University.

The first goal for OIT came at the 7:00 minute mark as Sarah Brown(SO./Ruch) scored off an assist from Sharon Hernandez (FR./Jacksonville), as the goalie for Warner Pacific ran out at Hernandez who passed over to Brown who easily scored in the vacant goal. The combination of Brown and Hernandez was at it again just five minutes later as Hernandez dropped the ball to Brown who scored from 15 feet out.

Warner Pacific kept battling Tech and at the 25 minute mark Kristin Ruff (Sr. / Vancouver) hit a bullet on an indirect kick that found its way into the back of the Oregon Tech goal. The goal was the first given up by the Tech defense in four games.

Brittany Garton (SR./Milton Freewater) finished up the scoring at the 49:52 mark as she scored unassisted from the top of the box dribbling left and shooting with her left for the goal.
