EOU Rallies to Win Game 5 Thriller
LA GRANDE, Ore. - The Eastern Oregon University Volleyball team found themselves down 2-1 heading into the fourth game of Friday's match with Concordia University. Eastern dominated game four, then finished off the come back by winning a hotly contested final game. Final scoring went 30-26, 28-30, 26-30, 30-20, 15-12.
EOU had three players finish with double figure kills, led by super soph Grace Deboodt and her 27 winners. Senior Chelsea Lally and Freshman Haley McEnroe tallied 17 and 15 respectively.
Defensively, the Mountaineers got 32 digs from Senior Kiley Cobb followed by Megan Weil's 21.
The setting duo of Alissa Clinton and Chelsea Herron combined to dish out 69 assists. The entire Cav's lineup was credited with just 54.
Tomorrow night Eastern will face off with Corban College at 7:00pm. Make sure to get to your seats early as The Mountaineers will recognize its seniors prior to the contest.
