KIRKLAND, WA – Northwest University defeated Northwest Christian College, 3-1 (30-12, 30-26, 26-30, 30-23) tonight in Cascade Conference play.
Freshman Lauren Holtz (Brier, WA/Inglemoor HS) continues to lead Northwest U. (7-11, 6-10 CCC) to their third straight win with a game high 19 kills and 15 defensive digs. Kacie Simpson (Fr., Renton, WA/Kentridge HS) had 14 kills and 3 service aces for the Eagle. Tarah Petrick (Fr., Monroe, WA/Monroe HS) had a game high 52 assists and 12 defensive digs for the Eagles.
Brooke Stribling (Jr., Eugene, OR) led Northwest Christian College (10-13, 5-10 CCC) with 15 kills and 15 digs while teammate Cotie Howard (So., Springfield, OR) added 13 kills for the Beacons. Alex Jee (So., Gresham, OR) had 22 assists for NCC and 10 digs. Mercedes LeClaire (So., Mapleton, OR) led the Beacons with 20 defensive digs on the night.
Northwest U. will host The College of Idaho in Kirkland on November 2. Northwest Christian heads back to Eugene and will host Southern Oregon on November 2.
