Concordia Sweeps Top Individual All-CCC Awards

PORTLAND, Ore. – Cascade Collegiate Conference women’s soccer champion Concordia University, which was unbeaten and unscored upon in regular season CCC action, today was rewarded for its perfect league season, taking home top individual honors for Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, and Coach of the Year. In all, the Cavaliers had seven players named first team all-conference.

Sophomore forward Jessica Ramback, the league’s leading scorer with 43 points (19 goals, 5 assists), was named Offensive Player of the Year; junior Jackie Pronovost, a central defender who keyed a Cavalier defense which shut out all 10 league opponents and has posted 13 shutouts in 18 games, was named Defensive Player of the Year; junior midfielder Carli Godard was named Newcomer of the Year; and 11th-year head coach Grant Landy, who guided CU to its eighth consecutive league title (ninth overall), was named Coach of the Year. First-year CCC member Northwest Christian was voted the Team Sportsmanship Award.
