15-2 EOU Run Sends Warriors Packing
LA GRANDE, Ore. - That's not a misprint folks. After splitting four hotly contested games The Eastern Oregon University Mountaineers crushed Corban College 15-2 in the 5th and final game (27-30, 30-28, 25-30, 30-23, 2-15 .
"I've never been a part of anything like that." said Head Coach Kaki McLean. In the understatement of the year, McLean went on to say, "They came out really strong after losing the 4th."
Grace Deboodt and Chelsea Lally once again paved the way offensively. Deboodt finished with 21 Kills while Lally wound up with 17 kills and added 13 digs.
Setters Chelsea Herron and Alissa Clinton once again combined for a terrific night. Herron had 30 assists and 13 digs, Clinton dished out 31 assists and 11 digs. Kiley Cobb led all players with 37 digs.
The Mounties now sit alone in 4th place in the Cascade Conference with four matches left on the schedule.
Next up is a trip north to face Evergreen and Northwest in Olympia and Kirkland, Washington November 2nd and 3rd.
