KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. (October 5, 2007) ---Oregon Tech swept past Cascade College in conference volleyball play here at Danny Miles Court tonight (3-0…30-22, 30-11, 30-17). The win for Oregon Tech is the seventh in its last eight matches and moves Tech to 14-8 overall and 6-3 in the Cascade Conference. Cascade drops to 3-11, 1-8 CCC.

The duo of Nicole Andrews (JR, Chehalis, WA) and Anna Leal (Yreka, CA) finished in double digit kills, as they combined for 22 of the team's 47. Andrews tallied a match-high 12 while Leal followed with 10. Katie Fuller (SR, Roseburg, OR) added nine to her total while Tech kills leader Michelle Klaja (SR, Klamath Falls, OR) finished with eight. Setters Lizzie Law (JR, Kennewick, WA) and Katie Coburn (JR, Keizer, OR) combined for 37assists. Krystie Vea (SO, Honolulu, HI) seemed to be everywhere on the floor tonight, as she totaled a match-high 22 digs. Defensive specialist Kelsi Russell (SR, Talent, OR) reached double digit digs, finishing the evening with 11. The Thunderbirds were led offensively by Amanda Cochran’s six kills, while libero Rachel Fleetwood finished with a team-high eight digs.

Tech will host Warner Pacific (7-7, 3-6 CCC) Saturday at 7 p.m. before heading on the road to Evergreen State on Friday Oct. 12 and Northwest College on Saturday Oct. 13.
