CU's Justine Pronovost Named Academic All-District
PORTLAND, Ore.— Concordia University women's soccer player Justine Pronovost was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District VIII Second Team on Thursday, Nov. 1. It was the second straight year she has been recognized by CoSIDA.
A returning NAIA All-American, Pronovost (Milwaukie, Ore./Milwaukie H.S.) has contributed with 15 goals and four assists in helping the Cavaliers to a 17-2-0 overall record and a perfect 10-0 finish in Cascade Collegiate Conference action. In the classroom, Pronovost has maintained a 3.70 grade point average while majoring in business.
Concordia, ranked No. 4 in the final NAIA poll, will face No. 14 Simon Fraser in the NAIA Region I tournament to vie for an automatic bid into the national championships. Hosted by Carroll College in Helena, Mont., the Region I tourney will kickoff Friday, Oct. 2 at noon with the host Fighting Saints facing Oregon Tech.
