College of Idaho Receives Votes in NAIA Preseason Poll
CALDWELL, Idaho -- The College of Idaho baseball team received votes in the 2008 NAIA Baseball Preseason Top-25 Coaches Poll, released this afternoon by the national office in Kansas City, Mo.
The Yotes, who were picked second in the Region I coaches poll earlier in the week, received five voting points in the rankings.
Defending NAIA champions, Lewis-Clark State were the unanimous No. 1 team in the poll, followed by Azusa Pacific (Calif.), Spring Arbor (Mich.), Lee (Tenn.), and Bellevue (Neb.).
The C of I, coming off a Cascade Conference championship and runner-up finish in the regional tournament, opens the season the first full week of February, hosting Whitworth University in a four-game series at Simplot Stadium
