OIT Season Comes to End at Region I Tourney
SPOKANE, Washington (November 16, 2007)---The Oregon Tech volleyball season came to an end today, as the Lady Owls fell to Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) in three games (3-0…30-19, 30-22, 30-28) in the second day of NAIA Region I play.
Oregon Tech’s Katie Fuller and Nicole Andrews came down with 10 kills each followed by Michelle Klaja who added nine. Lizzie Law and Katie Coburn combined for 30 assists and libero Krystie Vea finished with a team high 12 digs.
The Oregon Tech volleyball team, who qualified for Region I play for only the second time, finished the season with an overall 23-13 while finishing third place in the CCC at 15-5. Tech went 0-3 is post-season play losing to Southern Oregon 3-2, University of Great Falls 3-0 and Lewis-Clark State 3-0.
The Lady Owls will say good-bye to seniors Michelle Klaja, Katie Fuller, Stephanie Willett and Kelsey Russell, as they played their last match for Oregon Tech.
