OLYMPIA, Wash. - In a game tied with just under two minutes remaining,

Whitman's Chris Faidley tallied an impressive 33 points as he shot 50% from both the three point range and in field goals. Faidley wasn't bad from the free throw line either, sinking 72% of his attempts.

Despite Faidley's effort, the NCAA Div. III Whitman team fell short of the win as the Geoducks pressed their defensive game and forced the Missionaries to turn over the ball 26 times in the game. The intensity of Evergreen's defensive play drew 20 fouls for the team, including a technical from the Evergreen bench, which included calls that did not sit well with players and coaches.

"I had my first career technical tonight" a surprised but amused Coach Jeff Drinkwine noted after the game.

Evergreen shot 44% from the field to Whitmans 47%. It was not the night for long shots for the Geoducks as they made just two of thirteen attempts from three point range.

Nathan Menefee scored 18 points for Evergreen and Nick Moore and David Howard contributed 13 points each.

The Missionaries had an additional 15 points from Jordan Wheeler.

Evergreen plays at home Tuesday November 20th when they host Pacific Lutheran University at 7:30 PM.
