SALEM, Ore. - Junior Rashelle Davenport (Kalama, Wash.) recorded a team-high 13 kills, but it was not enough as Corban's women's volleyball team lost to the Knights of Warner Pacific in three games (28-30, 18-30, 24-30) Friday night inside the C.E. Jeffers Sports Center to begin its final home weekend of the season.

Despite the opening game being competitive, Corban began to fall apart over the final two games as the Warriors committed a combined 17 attack errors compared to the visiting Knights' nine.

Along with Davenport, junior Chelsea Reeher (Powell Butte, Ore.) and senior Ashley Lange (Salem, Ore.) recorded 10 and 6 kills respectively.  Sophomore setter Amy Thompson (Oregon City, Ore.) handed out a team-best 30 assists, while junior Margo Wyatt (Dufur, Ore.) and senior Caylin Bankston (La Grande, Ore.) anchored Corban's back line with 17 and 14 digs respectively.

Warner Pacific's Marcy Oakland and Leah Gradwohl led all players with a match-high 15 kills each, while Samantha Kolakowski and a pair of Knights -- Michelle Egan and Ann-Erica Whitemarsh -- added 11 and 6 kills respectively. The Knights' offense was ran almost to perfection by Kayli Anderson, as she recorded a match-high 50 assists. On the defensive side of the ball, former North Salem HS graduate Gradwohl recorded a match-high 25 digs to go along with her match-high in kills.

Defensively, Corban recorded 6.0 team blocks led by Reeher, Davenport, and freshman Teri Braun's (Dallas, Ore.) team-high three blocks each, while Warner Pacific had a match-high 7.0 team blocks with Whitemarsh registering a match and team-best five (1 solo, 4 assist).

With the loss, Corban falls to 11-12 overall, 9-8 in Cascade Collegiate Conference play. Meanwhile, Warner Pacific improves to 10-12 overall, 6-11 in CCC action. The Warriors return to action on Saturday, November 3rd, in its final home match of the season when Corban hosts the Lady Thunderbirds of Cascade beginning at 7:00 p.m. inside the C.E.
