Northwest Christian Tops Warner Pacific
EUGENE, Ore. -- Northwest Christian and Warner Pacific College combined to shoot 29% from the field on Sunday night, but a 26-11 turnover ratio did the Knights in as NCC pulled away with a 58-47 victory in the Morse Event Center.
McKenzie Gambee hauled in 15 rebounds for the Beacons and scored eight points. Emily Gray scored a game-high 17 points, despite shooting just 7-for-25 from the field while Jacquie Lipp and Amy Croll had nine points apiece for NCC.
Warner Pacific (2-3, 0-1 CCC) had just one player in double figures as Sally Brown scored ten points and six rebounds. Stephanie Rider, Lindsey Wells, and Danica Wilson all added eight for the Knights, while Jacque Barton pulled down ten rebounds.
Northwest Christian improves to 6-4 on the season and the remain perfect in the Cascade Collegiate Conference after two games. The Beacons will be back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Northern California to take on Simpson College.
