SALEM, Ore. – Senior Jessica Steigleman (Eugene, Ore.) and junior Kailey Bostwick (Medford, Ore.) combined to score 36 points, as Corban's women's basketball team picked up a 64-56 win over NCAA Division III member Pacific Saturday inside the C.E. Jeffers Sports Center.

Steigleman led all players with 22 points on 7-for-15 shooting from the field, while Bostwick added 14 points including 11 in the second half on 4-for-10 shooting from beyond the 3-point line.

The host Warriors grabbed its first lead of the game (9-7) when sophomore Emily Goette (Aumsville, Ore.) connected on a lay-up with 14:47 remaining in the opening half and never looked back.

Corban secured its largest lead of the game (49-31) when freshman Katie Stewart (Eugene, Ore.) hit a jumper in the paint off an assist by Bostwick with 12:46 left in the game. Pacific began to fight back and got to within four points (57-53) with 3:13 left on the clock with Amy Pedersen hit her second and final three-pointer of the night.

With just under two minutes remaining in the game, Bostwick hit the Warriors' final field goal on a nifty fast break lay-up. The 5-foot-6 point guard grabbed a defensive rebound and went 2-on-1 along with Steigleman. With Pacific's defender playing centerfield defensively, Bostwick faked a pass to Steigleman and in the same motion converted on a scoop shot in the paint for her 13th and 14th point of the night. Steigleman turned in a 5-for-6 free throw shooting performance over the final 42 seconds to ice the game for the Warriors en route to producing the final margin of eight points (64-56).

Along with Steigleman and Bostwick, Goette and Stewart added 9 and 6 points respectively while Steigleman led Corban with 10 rebounds. The 5-foot-10 forward produced her fifth straight 20-plus point output, while registering her third straight double-double. Junior Ashley Connell (Spokane, Wash.) led the team with a game-high six assists, while Bostwick and Goette recorded three steals each.

Pacific was led by Mallory Goldhammer's 18 points, while Pedersen and Christine Kim added 15 and 8 points respectively. Kalei Frank pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds, while Pedersen and Goldhammer grabbed 7 and 6 boards respectively.

As a team, Corban shot 23-for-59 (39.0%) from the field, including 8-for-21 (38.1%) from beyond the 3-point line. Meanwhile, Pacific turned in a 19-for-65 (29.2%) performance from the field, while shooting 12-for-20 (60.0%) from the free throw line.

With the win, Corban evens its record at 5-5 overall while Pacific drops to 1-5 on the season. The Warriors will return to action on Wednesday, December 19th, against first-year Cascade Collegiate Conference member Northwest Christian beginning at 5:30 p.m. inside the C.E. Jeffers Sports Center.
