KLAMATH FALLS, Oregon (December 19, 2007)---Jenna Ball (SR. Scappoose, OR) connected on three 3-point field goals early in the first half to help Tech jump out to an early 18-8 lead, on the way to a 78-60 victory at Danny Miles Court. The win pushes Tech to 9-3 on the season and an even 2-2 in Cascade Conference play. The loss for Evergreen is six in a row and drops them to 2-10 overall and 1-3 in CCC action.

Tech would extend the first half lead to 15 points, but Evergreen would scrap back on an 8-0 run to cut the lead to seven at 29-22. Jenna Ball would connect on a free throw while back-to-back buckets pushed the lead back to 14 at 36-22. Both teams would trade buckets and go in at the half 43-29 Lady Owls.

Oregon Tech would keep the lead in double digits for most of the second half before Evergreen’s Molly Clark would hit a 3-pointer to cut the lead to 10 points at 42-32. Evergreen would eventually cut the lead again to only seven points at 44-37, but could get no closer. A fast break lay-up and a three point play by Amanda Johnston (JR. Myrtle Point, OR) got the Lady Owls going again. A Crystal Idrogo (SO, Sacramento, CA) jumper and back-to-back buckets by Cora McVey (SR. Dexter, OR) would put the Owls up 18 points and cruise to a final score of 78-60.

Amanda Johnston scored a career high 23 points and grabbed three rebounds. Jenna Ball scored 16 points on 4-6 from long-range while Crystal Idrogo tallied 13 points. Point guard Meagan Miyasaka (JR. Honolulu, HI) dished out seven assists, leading all players in that category.

Evergreen had four players in double figure points led by Kristi Auckland with 13. Molly Clark would add 12 and Jennifer Solberg and Lee Rosiland finished with 10 each.

Tech will travel to Atherton CA. for the Menlo Christmas Tournament before starting up CCC play in January. Tech will play host Menlo College on December 29th, 5:00 p.m. and meet Rocky Mountain College, December 30th, 3:00 p.m. Both games will be broadcast live with Mike Garrard on KLAD 92.5 FM.
