PORTLAND, Ore. - Cascade's Eric Taylor, Jr. sank two free throws with 0.9 seconds on the clock to push the T-Birds to a 68-66 non-conference win over Pacific tonight at the Thunderdome.

The Taylor freebies were set up by two miscues, one from each team. With Cascade up 66-64, the Boxers' Joe Van Domelan was fouled in the act of shooting a three pointer with 2.7 seconds remaining in the game.

Van Domelan made 2 of 3 tries to tie the game and after a timeout, Cascade attempted to inbound from the opposite end from their goal. The longinboundthrowwas intercepeted, and the Boxer player signaled for timeout. Unfortunately, Pacific had exhausted their timeout allotment and were called for the technical foul.

Taylor, Jr.calmly sank the freethrows, and Pacific's desperation heave was off the mark at the buzzer.

Erving Adams came off the bench to lead Cascade with 16 points. Tayo Cotton added 13 points, and Taylor Jr. had 12. Pacific was led by a game high 17 points from Maurice Ross.
