PORTLAND, Ore.. - Forward Tim Danna scored twice in the first half to push Cascade past Northwest University 2-1 today at Williams & Smith Field.

The junior from Sutter, Calif., found the net with well placed headers on both goals. The first was assisted by Kevin Youatt, the second by Gerardo Cifuentes, as each found Danna with quality crossing volleys into the box.

Northwest got on the board first just four minutes in after the referee awarded NU an indirect kick at the 6-yard line due to a pass back to the keeper by Cascade. Micah Williams finished around the wall from that spot after Amos Freiheit touched it to the right.

The T-Birds cranked up the intensity from that point on as Danna struck at 12 minutes and 32 minutes to put Cascade up for good. No scoring took place in the second half, though Cascade outshot the visiting Eagles 12-1. "I really liked what I saw from our defense today,' said head coach Jeremy Schwartz. "Holding a good team like NU to just one shot in the second half is fantastic work by our guys."

The win moves Cascade to 3-3-0 overall and 3-1 in CCC play. Northwest drops to 3-3-0 and 2-2.
