KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. -- The Oregon Tech women’s soccer team fell to 6-4-1 on the season and 2-1 in Cascade Collegiate Conference play with a 2-0 loss to Albertson College (5-3-2, 2-0-2 CCC) at Trevor Derrah Field. Oregon Tech controlled the game and tempo but missed opportunities cost the Owls all game long.

Leah Roach scored the only goal the Yotes would need at the 32:44 mark after a nice cross from Amanda Barrieau. Roach took the pass down the left side, broke away from the Tech defense and sent a bullet into the back of the OIT goal. Courtney Mitchell scored at the 66:16 mark to put the game away for Albertson. On the Mitchell goal, Tech’s goalie Jaclyn Unruh came out of the box and Mitchell snuck the ball into an empty net for the 2-0 lead.

OIT had several opportunities throughout the game including a missed Penalty Kick that hit the post. Tech had three shots strike the post and bounce away in the game. The Lady Owls had 14 shots for the game and 6 shots on goal, while the Yotes had 10 shots and 6 shots on goal for the game. Goalie Amy Rhoades was credited with 6 saves for the game for Albertson. Tech’s Goalie Unruh was credited with 4 saves on the night.

OIT will hit the road with its next games scheduled for 7:30 PM next Friday at Northwest in Kirkland, WA and at Evergreen State next Saturday starting at 1:00pm. Albertson will play host to Corban College next Friday.
