EOU Posts 3-0 Victory Over Warner Pacific
LA GRANDE, Ore. - On a day better suited for indoor soccer the Eastern Oregon University soccer team played terrific in a 3-0 shutout win over Warner Pacific.
The Mounties defense allowed just three shots in the contest, while getting off 23 of their own. 13 of those shots were on goal. While the defense played great the Mountie offense can be credited with a lot of the success as the controlled the ball for the vast majority of the game.
In the 21st minute Cristina McGahen took a Nicole Archibeque pass and sent it into the net for Eastern's first score.
Junior Maggie Driscoll took over from there scoring two goals to seal the deal. The first of which came in the 66th minute as she made a spectacular play on goal for the score. That goal was set up by freshman Lauren Souza.
In the 86th minute Driscoll put the icing on the cake off of a Lori Wilson pass.
EOU will look to complete the weekend sweep tomorrow afternoon when they face Cascade College at 2:00 p.m.
