Cascade Falls to Corban
PORTLAND, Ore. - A five point T-Bird lead late in the game was erased by a determined Corban College team tonight as Cascade fell to the Warriors 79-75 at the Thunderdome.
Eric Taylor, Jr. hit a tough layin at the 1:47 mark to bring Cascade back within one at 74-73, but Corban's Wade Douglas scored on the ensuing Warrior possesion. After a T-Bird timeout, two good looks at the rim from behind the arc rimmed out and Cascade settled for a Ryan Barker layup. The visitors knocked down 3 of 4 free throws in the waning seconds to keep the hosts at bay.
Jason Braun was a force for Corban (7-10, 2-5 CCC), firing home 31 points on 12-18 shooting. Douglas added 21 points in the win.
Taylor Jr. and Erving Adams scored 15 each for Cascade (5-10, 0-7 CCC). Barker added 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Cascade will host Concordia tomorrow as CCC play continues, Corban heads to Warner Pacific.
