CALDWELL, Idaho - The College of Idaho held Northwest University to just 29-percent shooting for the night, as the Coyotes knocked off last season's NAIA semifinalist, 67-48, tonight in the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.

The Eagles (9-8, 5-3 CCC) converted just 4-of-24 shots in the first half as The C of I closed the half with six straight points to take a 34-20 lead at the half. The second half saw the Yotes use a 17-6 run to open the period, including a thunderous Steffen Spinks dunk, to build a 25-point lead and coast to the win.

Josh Owen led the Yotes (7-9, 4-2) with 18 points - seeing his 30-point streak end at three. Spinks had 13 points, with Bryan Champ scoring 11 points and recording four second half steals. J.R. Maggard had six points, but pulled down 11 rebounds and had four steals.

Northwest got 12 points and six rebounds from Pat Mattson, with Greg Peters scoring 11 points off the bench. The Eagles had 15 turnovers on the night, while the Yotes - playing their first home game since Dec. 8, had just four.

The C of I return to action tomorrow night, hosting Evergreen State, at 7:30 p.m.
