Eastern Oregon Dominates College of Idaho

LA GRANDE, Ore. - In a game that featured the current top two teams in the Cascade Conference, the Eastern Oregon University women's team looks unbeatable; defeating The College of Idaho (9-6, 6-2 Cascade Conference), 68-50.

Sheena Henderson's 21 points and 13 rebounds led Eastern and three other double-digit scorers for EOU (14-1, 8-0 CCC). Laura Olsen added 19 points, while Tiffanie Ulmer also had 14 points and 11 rebounds.

The first half featured plenty of runs by both teams. The Mountaineers got out early to a 12-0 lead. The College of Idaho did not even score until the 10:07 mark of the first half, when Kayla Brewer hit a three-pointer for the 'Yotes.

The College of Idaho then made a run of their own over the next eight minutes, outscoring Eastern, 20-14.

Eastern closed the half on a 5-0 run to lead at halftime, 31-20. The Mountaineers shot 47 percent in the opening period, compared to C of I's 30 percent.

The second half was all EOU. The lead stretched to 23 points, with an Ulmer lay-up with eight minutes remaining.

The 'Yotes were led by Whitney Clark's 18 points, and Ashley Wolfe added nine points.
