Klamath Falls, Ore. – Northwest scored a single goal in the first half and added two more second half goals on their way to a 3-0 victory over host Oregon Tech today in Cascade Conference men’s soccer action.

Tech drops to 3-8-1 overall and 2-4-0 in conference play, while NU improved their overall mark to 5-7-2 and 3-5-0 in conference action.

NU’s Luke Fischer started the Eagle scoring on an unassisted goal in the 30th minute to make it 1-0. Both teams then played even for the remainder of the first stanza, heading to the half by the same 1-0 score.

Tech kept the game within reach, but Fischer was able to split the Owl defense once again, putting his second unassisted goal past the Tech goalie, putting the Eagles up 2-0 in the 69th minute.

A red card would then give NU an opportunity to play one up on the Owls for the remainder of the game and another goal, this time by Micah Williams, off a rebound put the game away for good, as NU went on to win the game by the final of 3-0.

The Owls will face The Evergreen State College on Saturday, October 11th at 3:30 pm in their final home game of the 2008 season.
