SEATTLE—Seattle University fired for a .359 rate en route to a 3-0 (25-11, 25-18, 25-10) win over Concordia University in non-conference volleyball action on Friday.

With the result, Seattle, a NCAA Division I transitioning school, improved to 4-13 on the year while Concordia dropped to .500 with a 10-10 mark.

The Redhawks were led by 14 kills by Kaytlyn Sill and 10 kills by Cristin Richards. Jamie Mellies posted 38 assists off of the 41 kills by the home team.

Outside of senior middle hitter Lindsay Fryer, the Cavaliers could not produce much on the attack with a team hitting percentage of .077. Fryer led the Cavs with eight kills against a single error on 13 attacks for a .538 percentage.

Skyler Kamaka posted 16 assists and Kim Lindow notched 10 digs for team highs for Concordia.

The Cavaliers return home immediately to host Northwest Christian on Saturday. Opening serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
