BOX SCORE

PORTLAND, Ore - Cascade College women's soccer fell by a score of 3-0 to a surging Southern Oregon squad at a sunny Williams & Smith Field today in CCC action. The hard luck T-Birds remained scoreless for the 7th straight game as SOU keeper Jessica Keuhlwien turned away two shots on goal.

"We are just jinxed on the offensive end this season," said coach Justin Bigelow. "We've done good things all year to get us pushing up the field, but just can't connect that final pass. We'll keep fighting in our final three games, and see if we can be a factor in the playoff picture as a spoiler."

The Raiders took a 1-0 lead in the first period on a cross from Kelly Cates to Stacey Hamer who tapped it home near post. Kelly Clark scored two second half goals to provide the final margin and seal the win. T-Bird keeper Te Awhina Aranui made 6 saves in the loss.

Southern Oregon solidified their playoff position and moved to 5-1-0 in CCC play. Cascade fell to 0-6-1 and 1-11-2 overall.
