Concordia Defeats Northwest U. in Four
KIRKLAND, Wash. - Concordia University (Portland, Ore.) defeated NU, 3-1 (25-16, 25-21, 20-25, 25-21) Saturday night in Cascade Conference play and registered their 13th victory of the season.
Raluca Dinca led Concordia (13-10, 9-5 CCC) with 11 kills and 17 digs while teammate Lindsey Fryer added 10 kills for the Cavaliers. Skyler Kamaka had an outstanding game high 41 assists and 18 digs and Kim Lindow added 24 digs for the victors.
Lauren Holtz (Soph., Brier, Wash.) led the Eagles (7-14, 4-10 CCC) with a 15 kills and 10 defensive digs for her second consecutive double-double. Freshman Anu Akamine (Hauula, Hawaii) had 11 kills and 11 digs while teammate Libby Hellwig (Junior, Exeter, Calif.) finished with 36 assists and junior Andrea Cotton (Kenmore, Wash.) contributed 24 digs for the Eagles.
The Eagles will play at home again Tuesday, October 21 as they host the Evergreen State College at 7 pm in the Pavilion.
