Eastern Oregon had another solid performance from Coach Kaki McLean's trio.

LA GRANDE, Ore.- The Mountaineer Volleyball team completed a weekend sweep by defeating a scrappy Cavalier squad from Concordia University. All four sets were close, but down the stretch the Mountaineers had some key plays to win 25-23, 23-25, 24-26, 25-17. Eastern Oregon improved to 12-5 on the season and are now 8-2 in conference play.

Eastern Oregon had another solid performance from Coach Kaki McLean's trio from Prineville, Ore. as junior Grace Deboodt had a game-high 18 kills. The freshman tandem of Jessica Lea and Melanie Ceciliani combined for 23 kills, while Lea led the Mounties with 27 set assists.

The Cavaliers battled with Eastern in the first three games. But in the fourth and decisive game they simply ran out of gas. Concordia was led Mariana Toscano with 14 kills, while Skyler Kamaka had a game-high 41 set assists.

The Mountaineers will next take to the friendly confines of Quinn Coliseum on Tuesday, October, 7th against NCAA Division II Northwest Nazarene University. The game will start at 6:00 p.m. PST.
