Late Goal Sends Evergreen Past Thunderbirds

PORTLAND, Ore. - A Briana Speed breakaway goal with 3:30 left in the game sent Cascade to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Evergreen State today at a rain soaked Williams & Smith Field.
With neither team able to get into much of a flow on the wet field, the visiting Geoducks did manage to send 15 shots at goal. Cascade had 9 shots led by Leah Ballard with 4. Cascade's best chance at a score was a well placed free kick from Karina Martinez that Evergreen keeper Sonia Daisley-Harrison just directed wide with a diving paw.
T-Bird keeper Te Awhina Aranui snagged 7 saves in the losing effort.
Cascade falls to 1-7-2 and 0-2-1 in CCC play, while Evergreen improves to 2-7-1 and 1-3-0.
