T-Birds Break Through On Senior Night
BOX SCORE
PORTLAND, Ore. - Meagan Stanley spiked home 16 kills in her final home game as a Thunderbird as Cascade defeated Corban College 3 sets to 1 at the Thunderdome tonight.
The victory was just the second conference win for Cascade (7-18, 2-16 CCC) on the year after several close losses over the last month. Natalie Forgan led the T-Birds with 19 kills versus just 4 errors as Cascade limited their mistakes.
"The ladies played great volleyball tonight," said coach Nels Norquist. "We've been so close on several occasions, so it is nice to finally finish one out. The fact that we could send Meagan out of this gym with a victory is very satisfying, especially after what the team and everyone at Cascade has been through this week."
Carla Crowder directed the offense with 41 assists, and Kelsey Nickell was solid in the back with 15 digs.
Rachel Gowen led the visiting Warriors (12-11, 10-8 CCC) with 14 kills, while Rashelle Davenport added 11 kills and 12 digs.
