CCC Volleyball Tourney Gets Underway Tonight

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference Volleyball Championships get underway in Klamath Falls and La Grande tonight, as six CCC teams remain focused on securing the league’s automatic bid to the upcoming NAIA Championships.

In quarterfinal action tonight, third-seeded Oregon Tech (21-6) hosts sixth-seeded Corban (12-13) at Danny Miles Court on the OIT campus. Meanwhile, in La Grande, fourth-seeded Eastern Oregon (19-9) entertains fifth-seeded Concordia (17-12) at Quinn Coliseum. Both matches get underway at 7 p.m.

The quarterfinal winners will advance to Friday’s semifinals in Caldwell, Idaho, where regular season champion and top-seeded College of Idaho (21-7) will play host to the final rounds of the tournament. C of I will meet the lowest remaining seed in a 7 p.m. matchup Friday evening, while second-seeded Southern Oregon will face the highest remaining seed at 4 p.m.

Friday’s semifinal winners will meet for the CCC tournament championship Saturday at 7 p.m.

The NAIA Championships get underway Nov. 22 with 11 opening-round matches at campus sites. Those winners will join the tournament’s top 12 seeds and the tournament host in Sioux City, Iowa for the pool-play finals Dec. 2-6.
