Over the next 17-plus minutes, the host Huskies used a 48-18 run to grab their largest lead of the opening half (48-20) with just over two minutes showing on the clock. A jumper in the paint by junior Monique Tribble (Coquille, Ore.) with 24 ticks hanging on the clock would cut the Warriors’ deficit to 22 points (50-28) at the half.

In the first five minutes of the second half, Washington used a 15-2 run to pull ahead by 35 points (65-30) with senior Kailey Bostwick (Medford, Ore.) getting the Warriors’ lone bucket with 16:59 showing on the clock.

With 12:08 on the clock, Washington grabbed its largest lead of the game (70-32) following a Michelle Augustavo three-pointer. Corban would then use a 5-0 run over the next 116 seconds to pull within 33 points (72-39) via a pair of free throws by freshman Joani Reimer (Ferndale, Wash.) along with a jumper and three-point basket by Steigleman.

Corban would get as close as 30 points (87-57) following another three-pointer by Steigleman with 47 seconds remaining before Washington closed out the game with a 5-0 run for the final margin.

Along with Steigleman’s game-high performance in points, Reimer added nine points and team-high eight rebounds. Meanwhile, senior Ashley Connell (Spokane, Wash.) and Bostwick combined to score 11 points, as Connell registered six and Bostwick poured in five.

Washington was led by Kristi Kingma’s team-high 22 points, while Sami Whitcomb and Augustavo added 12 and 10 points respectively. Heidi McNeil pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds for the Huskies, while Mackenzie Argena handed out a game-high tying three assists.

As a team, Corban shot 20-for-55 (36.4%) from the field that included a 13-for-18 (72.2%) performance at the free throw line and a 4-for-13 (30.8%) showing from beyond the three-point line.

Meanwhile, Washington was a combined 35-for-73 (47.9%) from the field that included 13-for-27 (48.1%) from the charity stripe and 9-for-21 (42.9%) from beyond the arc.

Corban will tip-off its regular season play on Thursday, November 13th, when they take on California Pacific Conference member Simpson beginning at 7:30 p.m. in Redding, California.
