KANSAS CITY -- The Concordia women's soccer team and College of Idaho volleyball team will host opening-round games in the upcoming NAIA Championships, while the Concordia men's soccer team will play its first-round contest in the national tournament on the road.

Tournament pairings for all three sports were announced Sunday evening by the NAIA office.

The fourth-ranked Concordia women's soccer team (19-0-1), which last week captured its ninth consecutive league championship, is seeded fifth in the tourney and will play host to St. Ambrose (Iowa) Saturday at the Tualatin Hills Sports and Recreation Complex. The winner of the game will move on to Daytona Beach, Fla., for the national finals and will face the winner of the King (Tenn.) Berry (Ga.) matchup Dec. 1 or 2.. Berry is the tournament's No. 12 seed.

In volleyball, 19th-ranked College of Idaho (23-7) will remain at home to play host to Menlo (Calif.) in an opening-round game, also on Saturday. The C of I captured the CCC's automatic bid to the national tournament by winning the league's postseason tournament in Caldwell Saturday. The winner of Saturday's matchup in Caldwell will move on to the pool-play finals Dec. 2-6 in Sioux City, Iowa.

In men's soccer, CCC champion Concordia (14-5-1) will travel to southern California to meet Concordia-Irvine in a Saturday matchup. The winner will move on to the second round Dec. 1 or 2 to meet the winner of the Hastings (Neb.) vs. Hannibal-LaGrange (Mo.) matchup. Hastings is the tournament's No. 8 seed.
