Hustlin' Owls Devour Red Hawks
Redding, Calif. - No. 1 ranked Oregon Tech remained perfect on the season defeating Cal Pac member Simpson University tonight on the road in Redding, CA. Oregon Tech improves to 4-0 on the year, while the Red Hawks remain winless on the season dropping to 0-5. The Owls took a 17 point halftime lead and increased that to a 30 point advantage before settling for a final of 86-63.
Christian Cavanaugh led the Owls with 20 points on 9-11 shooting and added 4 rebounds. Jguwon Hogges finished with 19 points, followed by Justin Parnell with 14 points and 5 assists. Josh Wetzler and Myles Daly both finished with a team high 6 rebounds.
Oregon Tech finished the night shooting 56.1% from the floor (33-59), including 9-19 from 3-point range and 11-15 from the charity stripe. The Owls held SU to 41% (24-59) shooting, while holding Simpson to 3 of 15 from the 3-point line.
Oregon Tech will next host Multnomah Bible College on Wednesday, November 19th in a non-conference game with the tip set for 7:30 pm.
