PORTLAND, Ore. –College of Idaho senior forward Antonio Bautista, who led the Cascade Collegiate Conference in goals (21) and points (48) during the 2008 season, has been voted the CCC’s men’s soccer Player of the Year, the league office announced Tuesday.

Bautista, whose 21 goals are the third-most in C of I history, led the NAIA in game-winning goals (10) during the Yotes’ 14-3-1 campaign.

College of Idaho’s Brian Smith, who led the Yotes to a perfect 12-0-0 league mark and the CCC’s South Division crown, was named the league’s Coach of the Year. Smith, in winning the award for the second time in three years, led the Yotes to their best winning percentage (.806, 14-3-1) in 17 years. C of I won a school-record 13 consecutive matches, and became the first CCC team since 1994 to go unbeaten (12-0-0) in league play.
