Busch, Albright Lift Owls to Win

Klamath Falls, Ore. – Lisa Busch scored 13 of her game-high 16 points in the second half to help the Oregon Tech Lady Owls to a 78-49 win over William Jessup University tonight at Danny Miles Court. The Owls up their record to 7-2 with the win, while William Jessup remains winless at 0-2.

12 of Busch’s 16 points came from the 3-point line (4-7) while adding five assists to her total. Aundrea Albright added 14 points and five rebounds coming off the bench for Tech. Kellie Morey netted 12 points and Amanda Johnston 11 points in the win, while Nicole Morgan was a digit away from her third double-double of the season with nine points and a game-high nine rebounds.

The Lady Owls never trailed, taking their first double-digit lead of the game at 12-2 less than five minutes into the game. Tech eventually went up by 19 points at 24-5, their largest of the half, with 11:49 remaining before the break. The Warriors would finally find their offense, when an 18-9 run would cut the lead to 33-23 at the intermission.

The Lady Owls put together a 13-5 run to start the second stanza to go up 46-28 to put the game out of reach. Tech then gained a 21 point advantage on an Albright layup with 6:55 left, and went on to the final score of 78-49.

Oregon Tech will take their 7-2 record into Cascade Conference play this Friday when the Owls host College of Idaho, and then on Saturday, December 2nd versus Eastern Oregon. Both games are set to tip-off at 5:30 p.m.
