CALDWELL, Idaho - The College of Idaho men's soccer team moved on into next week's Cascade Conference championship game with a convincing 3-0 victory over Warner Pacific at a chilly Vallivue High.

The Coyotes (14-2-1) extended their school record win streak to 13 - becoming the first team this season to hold the Knights, the top scoring team in the league, without a goal.

It didn't take long for the Yotes to get on the board, as Garga Caserta found Antonio Bautista at the top of the 18 less than three minutes into the game, with the CCC's leading scorer flicking home his 21st goal of the season.

Neither team managed a great opportunity for the next 65 minutes - despite the Coyotes recording seven first-half corner kicks, with WP (13-6-0) being turned away by solid play from defensemen Alex Penrod and Spencer Ward.

The Yotes had a quality chance in the 70th minute, as Bautista had a 1-on-1 opportunity with Knights keeper Ted Latta, but Latta made a kick save on a drive to the left post to keep WP's hopes alive.  The visitors nearly tied it in the 79th minute, as Luis Galvan ripped a shot from the right side, but C of I keeper Aaron Reynolds made a leaping save to his left to keep the shutout intact.

The game would be put away in the final seven minutes, as a Jesus Lopez shot was blocked - then touched to Caserta, who buried a shot from the left angle for a 2-0 lead.  Three minutes later, Reynolds launched a goal kick that bounced into the Knights zone, but Latta whiffed on a clearing attempt, and Kazuki Murata pounced on the ball - flicking it into the empty net.

The Coyotes held a 19-10 shot advantage and held a 9-3 edge in corners.

The C of I will host Concordia University, a 3-1 victor over Cascade, in the CCC title game next Wednesday.  The site and time of the match will be determined on Thursday.  The Yotes have won two CCC Tournament titles - in 2000 and 2003.
