LA GRANDE, Ore. - The Eastern Oregon Mountaineers (3-0, 0-0 CCC) got their first home court victory of the season in the Friday nightcap of the 10th annual Aramark Quinn Classic.  The Mounties defeated the Orediggers of Montana Tech (2-1) 88-61.

Eastern Oregon had a balanced effort yet again, with four different players hitting double-digit points.  Junior Josh Landsverk had a game-high sixteen points while senior Paul Carollo had a double-double with eleven points and ten rebounds.  Senior Neil Fryer tossed in fifteen points of his own.

The Mounties and Orediggers had quite a slugfest down low, as both teams scored at least half of their points in the paint.  The Mounties managed to shoot over fifty percent from the field for the game, while the Orediggers shot just forty-one percent.

The Orediggers were paced by sophomore Dirk Anderson who had twelve points and seven rebounds.  On Saturday, November 8th, the Orediggers will take on the ‘Yotes from the College of Idaho at 6:00 p.m. and the Mounties will face the Warriors of Lewis-Clark State College at 8:00 p.m. in the final contest of this year’s Aramark Quinn Classic.
