College of Idaho's Gall Earns CCC Weekly Women's Hoop Honor
PORTLAND, Ore. -- College of Idaho sophomore Nicole Gall, a 5-11 guard from Boise, Idaho, has been named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Player of the Week in women’s basketball.
Gall tied school records for points scored (36) and 3-point field goals made (8) in C of I’s 98-86 upset victory over 16th-ranked Southern Oregon this past Saturday. Gall hit 11 of 18 field goal attempts and all six of her free throw tries as the Yotes handed the Raiders their first loss in nine games.
In two games last week, Gall averaged 21.5 points and 4.0 rebounds. She shot 50 percent from the field and 64 percent from 3-point range.
The Yotes, who have won 10 straight games to improve to 10-1 on the season, jumped from 23rd to 17th in this week’s NAIA Top 25 poll.
