SOU (18), EOU (23) Climb in Women's Basketball Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Southern Oregon's women's basketball team moved up two spots to the No. 18 position and Eastern Oregon's women's team climbed from 25th to 23rd in this week's NAIA Division II women's basketball Top 25 poll, the national office announced Wednesday.

College of the Ozarks (Mo.) remained No. 1 and Northwestern (Iowa) held onto No. 2 for the eighth straight week. Ozarks earned 12 first place votes and compiled 505 total points while Northwestern received five first place votes and 498 total points.

No. 3 Morningside (Iowa), No. 4 Bethel (Ind.) and No. 5 Saint Francis (Ind.) all held their spots for the fourth straight week with 473, 461 and 437 points respectively. Hasting (Neb.) remained at No. 6 for fifth consecutive week while Davenport (Mich.) and Shawnee State (Ohio) stayed at No. 7 and No. 8 respectively in back-to-back weeks.

No. 25 Covenant (Ga.) moved back into the top-25 after dropping out in week two.

The next regular season poll will be released on Wednesday, February 20.
