LA GRANDE, Ore. - On white out night in La Grande the No. 1-seeded Eastern Oregon women were dealt a 67-66 setback by eighth-seeded Cascade College 67-66 in the quarterfinal of the Cascade Conference tournament.

After a back and forth first half EOU opened the second half on a bit of a run that saw its lead grow to 17 points at one point.

Cascade made a run of its own and took the lead for the first time with 2:15 left in the game. It was back and forth the rest of the way until the Thunderbirds' Raguel Morin hit the game-winning three with six seconds left.

Both teams had big efforts from their post players. Cascade's Te Awhina Aranui had a game high 32 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the win.

Senior Sheena Henderson led the way with 21 points and pulled down nine boards for the Mountaineers.

With the win Cascade will now face Southern Oregon on Friday in Ashland at 7:30 p.m. Eastern will have to play the waiting game until March 5 when the NAIA national tournament pairings come out.
