British Columbia Nips Concordia for Fourth at Northwest Winter Shootout
AURORA, Ore. -- In the second round of the second tournament of the spring season, Concordia fired a 313 to maintain fifth place at the Northwest Winter Shootout hosted by Oregon State at the Langdon Farms Golf Club.
Oregon State (282-297—579) defeated the University of Oregon (292-307—599) by 20 strokes to take the tournament crown. Three back of the Ducks, Western Washington (294-308—602) took third place while British Columbia (300-315—615) held off Concordia (304-313—617) by two strokes for fourth place.
Oregon State golfers managed the top five spots on the leaderboard with Alex Williams (69-64—143), competing as an individual, taking medalist honors with a 1-over 143.
Marc Arima (75-75—150) duplicated his effort from the first round with another 4-over 75 to finish in a tie for 10th. Craig Dehning (77-77—154) recorded a pair of 77s to also break into the top 20, finishing in a three-way tie for 19th.
Rounding out the squad were Tyler Austin (75-83—158) in a tie for 27th, Dan Scobie (77-82—159) in a tie for 30th and Andrew Wilson (82-79—161) in a tie for 32nd.
