LA GRANDE, Ore. -- The Eastern Oregon women avenged a loss earlier in the season to Concordia University by beating the Cavs 77-65 here Friday night.

Their first matchup, on January 19, was a close one all the way through with the Cavaliers pulling it out 64-62. This time around the Mountaineers came out and played with a chip on their shoulder and jumped on the Cavs early as they took a 26 point lead into halftime.

EOU shot well throughout the game as they finished shooting 53 percent from the field. Sheena Henderson and Tiffanie Ulmer led the Mounties in scoring with 22 and 19 points respectively. For the Cavaliers, Denise Benedict led the team with 13 points on 2 for 7 shooting, but was 9 for 9 at the free-throw line.

The bench helped out big in the win as they contributed 27 points. With the win the Mounties improve to 20-3 overall, and 13-2 in conference. Concordia falls to 13-12 overall with the loss and 9-6 in conference.

The next game for EOU is Saturday against Corban College at home. The Mountaineers defeated Corban on the road, 76-67 in their last meeting. Tipoff is set for 5:30 pm at Quinn Coliseum.
