NORTH PLAINS, Ore. – Freshman Elizabeth Sherwin (Gresham, Ore.) paced the Warriors with a 29-over 100, as Corban's women's golf team concluded its first tournament of the spring season with a fourth place showing at the Pacific Invitational Sunday at Ghost Creek Golf Course.

After opening the two-day event with a combined team score of 144-over 432 at Meriweather National Golf Course, the Warriors dropped ten strokes off their team score with a combined 138-over 422 paced by Sherwin's team-leading performance.

Along with Sherwin, sophomore Jordon Weldon (Klamath Falls, Ore.) turned in a second day performance of 34-over 105 to go along with freshman Emily Stupfel's (Salem, Ore.) final round showing of 35-over 106.

Senior Caylin Bankston (La Grande, Ore.) and freshman Morgan Bars (Grants Pass, Ore.) rounded out the Warriors' scoring with scores of 40-over 111 and 49-over 120 respectively. Banskton's score was included in the overall team total, while Bars' 18-hole score went under the tournament's individual performances.

On the opening day at Meriweather National Golf Course, Sherwin carded a team-low 27-over 99 to go along with Stupfel's performance of 30-over 102 in helping the Warriors to a fourth place showing overall after Day #1.

Along with the freshman duo, Weldon turned in an opening day total of 41-over 113 to go along with Bankston's 46-over 118. Bars rounded out Corban's scoring with a 59-over 131, as the Warriors competed on a 6,300-plus yard course.

Overall, tournament-host Pacific University took home the team title with a combined two-day total of 709 which was 22 strokes better than George Fox University. Individually, Northwest Christian's Ashley King took home medalist honors with a combined 24-over 167 which was three strokes better than tournament runner-ups Brittany Zefkeles of George Fox and Brynn Hurdus of Linfield.

Corban will return to the links on Saturday and Sunday, March 15th & 16th, at the two-day Willamette Invitational being played at the OGA Golf Course in Woodburn.
