NORTH PLAINS, Ore. – Senior Ben Sisler (Corvallis, Ore.) carded a final round 6-over 77 en route to finishing with a two-day total of 10-over 153, as Corban's men's golf team concluded its season-opening tournament with a fourth place showing at the Pacific Invitational Monday at Ghost Creek Golf Course.

As a team, the Warriors knocked six strokes off its first round performance en route to finishing 41 shots ahead of NCAA Division III member Whitman.

Along with Sisler's performance that tied him for seventh individually, senior Wade Douglas (Ontario, Ore.) and freshman Steve Landis (Gladstone, Ore.) carded identical scores of seven-over 78 to account for three of the Warriors' four counting scores. The duo shot identical scores on each day (80-78) and finished tied for 15th individually with a two-day total of 15-over 158.

Junior Nathan Furumasu (Gladstone, Ore.) dropped his first day score by three strokes and carded an 11-over 82 to finish tied for 24th individually with a two-day total of 24-over 167.

Senior Josh Greenslade (Spokane, Wash.) turned in a second day score of 16-over 87 to finish 28th individually with a two-round total of 29-over 172.

Meanwhile, sophomore Tyler Dean (Klamath Falls, Ore.) had the best turn-around from Day #1 to Day #2, as the second-year player carded a final round score of 17-over 88 compared to his opening round total of 28-over 100.

In the overall team totals, NCAA Division III member Linfield captured the team title with a combined team score of 21-over 593 which was 12 strokes better than runner-up Central Oregon Community College. Despite COCC's final round score of seven-over 291, which was the lowest of the day, the Wildcats held on to win the team title as five Linfield players finished in the top 15 individually.

Individually, Linfield's Joel Rychard held off the charge Central Oregon's Christian Green to win medalist honors by a mere stroke. Rychard's two-day total of 1-over 144 was good enough to win the individual title, as Green carded an even par round of 71 on Monday but could not make up the four stroke deficit following the conclusion of Sunday's opening round. The day's low score came from Central Oregon's David Green, who shot a 1-under 70 to finish tied for fifth individually.

Corban will return to the links on Monday, March 17th, when the Warriors take part in the annual 36-hole Willamette Invitational beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Creekside Golf Club in Salem.
