SALEM, Ore. -- Northwest Christian's Justin Ahrens shot a 36-hole combined score of 2-over 146 at Monday's annual Willamette Invitational played at Creekside Golf Club in cold temperatures under cloudy skies.

Corban's Ben Sisler finished third individually with a combined 36-hole score of 10-over 154, as two of the three platform positions were held by Cascade Collegiate Conference players.

Team-wise, Corban finished one stroke ahead of Northwest Christian as the Warriors fired a two-round total of 68-over 644 led by Sisler and Steve Landis, who finished tied for 13th individually with a combined score of 14-over 158.

For Corban, Sisler and Landis led the Warriors while Wade Douglas ended tied for 19th individually with a combined score of 20-over 164. The Warriors' final individual scorers were Josh Greenslade (24-over 168 -- tied for 26th), Jonathan McGuire (40-over 184 -- tied for 45th), and Nathan Furumasu (42-over 186 -- 48th).

Northwest Christian's team total of 69-over 645 was aided by Brent McKee's 13-over 157, which tied him for sixth individually with six other players. NCC's Josh Samples finished tied for 22nd with a combined score of 22-over 166, while Jeremy Chappell (32-over 176 -- 41st) and Jordan Whittenburg (47-over 191 -- 52nd) rounded out the Beacons scoring.

The team title went to NCAA Division II member Northwest Nazarene with a combined 36-hole score of 55-over 631, which was a mere five strokes better than Central Oregon Community College's 60-over 636. Corban, Northwest Christian, and Puget Sound rounded out the top five, as the later three schools were separated by a mere two strokes.
