Concordia's Grisham; C of I's O'Brien Claim Baseball Player of Week Honors

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Concordia's Jason Grisham and College of Idaho’s Alex O’Brien have been named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Pitcher and Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

Grisham, a 6-4 senior from Canby, Ore., pitched four innings of one-hit shutout pitching in an 8-4 Cascade Collegiate Conference over first-place College of Idaho. Grisham was also selected as NAIA Region I Player of the Week.

O’Brien, a 6-2 junior shortstop from Everett, Wash., helped the Yotes in their lone victory, rapping out 11 hits in 20 at-bats for a .556 batting average during their six games last week. He also scored 11 runs and drove in four runs this week for the Coyotes.
