College of Idaho's Tyler Hopper is the most recent CCC athlete to qualify for the NAIA championships.
CCC Has 4 NAIA Event Leaders, 13 National Meet Qualifiers
PORTLAND, Ore. -- Four Cascade Collegiate Conference student-athletes have the NAIA's top marks in their respective events, and a total of 13 student-athletes from the CCC have punched their tickets to next month's NAIA national championship meet in St. Louis, Mo.
The latest qualifer from the CCC was Tyler Hopper of the College of Idaho, who clocked a 3:53.82 in the 1500 meters last weekend.
Leading the way with national-best marks in their respective events include Southern Oregon's Ryan Musselman in the pole vault (16-0 3/4) and a trio of throwers from Concordia -- Nik Kay in the discus (186-7), Paul Roshau in the javelin (224-7) and Greg Schultz in the hammer (200-5).
