MONMOUTH, Ore. – Jeremiah Drelleshak improved a provisional mark to an automatic to highlight Concordia action at the Western Oregon Twilight held at McArthur Field on Friday.

Drelleshak gave the Cavaliers its second automatic qualifier in the hammer with a 167-5 launch for third place. Drelleshak joins Greg Schultz, the event winner at the WOU Twilight with a distance of 189-1, in achieving the ‘A’ standard in the hammer.

In the men’s discus, Matt Artua led a 1-2 Cavalier finish with a 175-8 toss for the win to edge teammate Nik Kay, who finished in second with a 173-3.

Stephen Marshall won the triple jump for CU after both posting a season-best mark. With a six-inch improvement from earlier in the season, Marshall cleared 46-11 1/2 for the win, just one-half of an inch shy of the NAIA automatic standard.

Also posting event wins during the competition were Leon Carl in the shot (48-5 1/2) and Paul Roshau in the javelin (207-3).
